Pionierzy alternatywnego rocka pochodzą z Minneapolis, gdzie założyli zespół w 1979 roku. Nigdy nie odnieśli znaczącego sukcesu komercyjnego, a mimo to są jednym z najbardziej szanowanych zespołów rockowych. W ich twórczości słychać wpływy Rolling Stonesów, The Clash, The Faces, ale także Beatlesów i Ramones.

RSD 2022 zawiera również nagranie koncertu zespołu The Replacements w oryginalnym składzie z 1981 roku w Minneapolis.
