Wydany pierwotnie w 1991 roku 'Holidays in Eden' był szóstym studyjnym albumem Marillion i drugim ze Stevem Hogarthem na wokalu. Ich poprzedni album i pierwszy z Hogarthem, 'Season's End' (1989), został napisany dość szybko, opierając się na dużej ilości materiału napisanego już przed przybyciem Hogartha.
