Pierwotnie wydany w 1989 roku, Seasons End był piątym studyjnym albumem Marillion i pierwszym z Steve'em Hogarthem jako frontmanem zespołu, po odejściu poprzedniego frontmana Fisha. Album był współprodukowany przez zespół i Nicka Davisa, który pracował również z takimi zespołami jak Genesis, Mike + The Mechanics i innymi.
