Opis

"Salvation", który został wydany 1 września 1997 roku, był piątym albumem studyjnym Alphaville i zwiastował nowy etap w ich muzycznym rozwoju. Był to pierwszy album Alphaville bez Ricky'ego Echolette'a i ostatni z Bernhardem Lloydem, który opuścił zespół w 2003 roku. Album przyniósł single "Wishful Thinking" i "Flame". Został wyprodukowany przez Andy'ego Richardsa i, w przeciwieństwie do swoich poprzedników, został nagrany głównie w londyńskim Eden Studios, a dalsze nagrania miały miejsce w Metropolis Studios i Stone Room Studios. Miks odbył się również w tych trzech studiach, a także w Nucleus Recording Studio."Salvation (Deluxe Edition)" został wydany jako 3-płytowa wersja deluxe i zawiera oryginalny album (zremasterowany) na CD 1, 16 singli i remiksów na CD 2 oraz 17 demówek i remiksów na CD 3, a także digipack z 16-stronicową książeczką.
